I grew up in a small town in Oregon on a hazlenut farm. When I graduated high school I went to the University of Oregon and earned a B.A. in English. During my time at U of O I traveled to Europe, where I met Mr. McAree. After my time at U of O, I moved to London, England to live with Mr. McAree and pursue a M.A. in 20th Century Literature at the University of London. When I finished graduate school I worked at an editor on internationally published medical journals. In total I lived, worked, and traveled around Europe for five years. Mr. McAree and I decided that we wanted to make Oregon our home and moved to the Portland area in 2006. I went to graduate school (again!) and earned an M.A.T. and teaching license in middle school Language Arts, Social Studies and Science, as well as high school English.
